We simplify design and user experience to increase your productivity and boost your creativity. It is modern, fresh, clean and beautiful. From the new Start button and taskbar to every sound, font and icon, everything is designed so that you have everything under control and bring peace and quiet. We’ve put the start in the middle and make it easy to find what you need right away. Start uses the power of the cloud and Microsoft 365 to view new files, no matter what platform or device you’ve viewed before, even if they’re on an Android or iOS device.
Windows is always available to help you create what you want by offering the flexibility of multiple windows and the ability to combine applications together. We’ve introduced Snap, Snap Group, and Desktop layouts in Windows 11 to provide a more powerful way to multitask and keep track of what you need to do. These are new features designed to help you arrange windows and optimize screen development so you can see what you need the way you want in a clean panorama layout. -aw. Now you can connect directly via text, chat, voice or video to all your personal contacts, anywhere, regardless of the platform or device they use, via Windows, Android or iOS. If the person you’re connecting to at the other end doesn’t download the Teams app, you can still connect with it via two-way SMS.
Windows 11 also gives you a more natural way to connect with friends and family through Teams, allowing you to instantly mute and unmute the sound or start presenting right from the taskbar.

Windows 11 brings you the news and information you’re interested in with Widgets, a new customized resource based on artificial intelligence and best-in-class browser performance in Microsoft Edge. Even though we are already maximally focused and creative, we still need breaks – a chance to explore the outside world or have a mental reset. Now we always pick up the phones to check for news, weather or announcements. You can now open the same composite view directly from the desktop. When you open your personalized resource, it slides across the screen like a glass page, so it doesn’t interfere with what you’re doing. Widgets also opens up new real estate content for creators and publishers to provide personalized content. Our ambition is to create a living channel for global markets and local creators in a way that benefits consumers and creators.
An all-new Microsoft Store where your favorite apps and entertainment come together
The new Microsoft Store is your trusted place for apps and content to browse, create, play, work, and learn. It is built for speed and has a new design that is beautiful and easy to use. Not only do we bring you more apps than ever before, but we also ensure that all content – apps, games, movies, movies – can be easily found and discovered through compound stories and collections. We are excited to welcome leading and third-party applications to the Microsoft Store, such as Microsoft Teams, Visual Studio, Disney +, Adobe Creative Cloud, Zoom and Canva – all offering unique gaming experiences, entertainment, inspiration and connectivity with you. When you download the app from the store, you can rest easy knowing that it tests family safety and security.
We are also excited to announce that we are bringing Android applications to Windows for the first time. Earlier this year, people will be able to discover Android apps on the Microsoft Store and download them via the Amazon Appstore – consider uploading and posting a TikTok or Khan Academy Kids video using virtual learning right from your PC. We will be able to share more of this experience in the coming months. We look forward to this partnership with Amazon and Intel with their Intel Bridge technology.
Creating a more open ecosystem unlocking new opportunity for developers and creators
We are taking steps to further open the Microsoft Store to open up more economic opportunities for manufacturers and developers. We enable developers and independent software vendors (ISVs) to run their applications, whether they are designed as Win32, Progressive Web App (PWA) or Universal Windows App (UWP), or any other application framework that creates the opportunity to reach out and interact with many people. We’ve also announced a progressive change to our revenue sharing policies that allow application developers to bring their own business into our business now and keep 100% of revenue – nothing Microsoft can earn. Application developers will still be able to take advantage of our 85/15 revenue share. We believe that creating a more open ecosystem will ultimately benefit our customers – and give them secure and seamless access to the applications, games, movies, movies, and web content they want and need.

Together, we tuned Windows 11 to not only optimize speed and efficiency, but also to enjoy enhanced touch, ink, and audio experiences. With Windows 11 on a keyboardless tablet, we’ve improved touch controls, made more space between taskbar icons, added more touch targets, and cumbersome visual cues that make change easier. or and move windows as well as add gestures.
