SCCM Meaning

System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) is a Windows product that enables administrators to manage the security and deployment of applications, and devices that are part of an Enterprise. SCMM is deployed to manage configurations across multiple devices that share common components, including computers and mobile devices.

In today’s digital world, there are hundreds or thousands of devices with numerous applications in use by employees; without an established process for managing SCMM databases, it can be difficult to pinpoint which device (or employee) might have access to sensitive information.

SCCM is available from Microsoft and can be used on a limited-time trial basis. When the trial period is over, a license needs to be purchased to continue using it.
